How it all started...
In the summer of 1910, a brush arbor was built about 2 miles east of Marshville for the purpose of holding church services. A traveling preacher held service for 2 weeks and several people expressed the desire for another church to be built in the community. On Thanksgiving day that year, some of the same Christian people met again and decided that a new Baptist church should be organized. On December 1st, a group of religious elders met for the purpose of organizing this church.

Expanding the vision...
We are striving to serve our community and be involved with our young people. We want to be an example to all people of what love and kindness look like on a daily basis.
Where we are headed...
We strive to be a beacon of light in our community. A place where everyone can feel loved and find the love of Christ. We are continuously looking for opportunities to share with others.
